I founded Clear Dialogue because I wanted to create a process for people with differing opinions to actually engage each other, learn from each other, and come up with creative solutions to conflict. I have found that discussions these days in many areas - politics, business, in the family - too often turn into debates about who is right and who is wrong. Both parties try to show how they are right and how the other side is wrong. This kind of communication is not a dialogue. A dialogue is a conversation between two or more persons where there is a real exchange of information, a reflection in the information, and a consideration that the other party has something of value to add. A clear dialogue is one in which there is no miscommunication. The parties are transparent about their needs and values, and there is no ambiguity.
